Traffic stop yields felony drug arrest in St. Clair County

The charges stem from an investigation the previous day on Highway 13 southbound near CC Highway when a St. Clair County deputy conducted a traffic stop Ford was a passenger in. During the investigation Ford was found to be in possession of heroin. He was taken into custody pending the formal charge. Members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
Death investigation complete in St. Clair County
Sheriff Scott Keeler said a death investigation in reference to two bodies found at a residence in Lowry City is complete. On April 21, St. Clair County deputies and the Lowry City Police Department responded to a residence at 202 East 7th Street, Lowry City, and located two bodies. The body of Isaac Tyson, a two- month-old infant child, was located in the living room of the home. His father’s body, Curtis Paul Tyson, 43, was located in a detached garage of the home.
The father's death was determined to be caused by a self inflicted gunshot wound.
On April 22, an autopsy was conducted on the infant and the cause of death was determined to be from blunt force trauma. The sheriff said following a meeting with the Child Death Review Board on April 26, this case has been ruled a murder suicide and is considered closed.

The charge stems from an incident on March 21 when St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force were at a residence on North Beech Street, Appleton City, in reference to a drug investigation.
During the investigation Mitchell was found to be in possession of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation concerning an incident in March 2015 when Lesmeister allegedly inappropriately touched a 13-year-old female.

Cindy Ulenee Harris-Morrison, age 42 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born March 9, 1974 to Richard Veston and Judy Ann Rocheleau Barnes in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Don Morrison of Butler, Missouri; one son, Brandon William Carter of Creighton, Missouri; one daughter, Myah Angel Fink of Drexel, Missouri; two brothers, Ryan Barnes and wife Angela of Kansas City, Missouri and Richard Barnes of Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Melanie Gribble and husband William of Overland Park, Kansas, Wendi Baldwin and husband Josh of Mound City, Kansas and Alicia Billingsley and husband Dee of Big Spring, Texas; her mother, Judy Fullerton and husband Kenneth of Butler, Missouri; and her father, Richard Barnes and wife Wanda of Gladewater, Texas.
