Breaking News Update: Three vehicle accident South of Adrian

On 6/26/16 around 3:27pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County, Butler Police Department, Adrian Fire Department and Bates County Sheriffs Office responded to a three vehicle accident on I-49 at Mile Marker 140.6 ( Adrian Optimist Building).

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Dodge Caravan driven by 51 year old Walter O.Tylick of Springdale, Arkansas hydroplaned and crossed the median striking the 2010 International Semi Truck driven by Vaughn M. Wirts of Republic, Missouri and also striking the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country driven by 74 year old Jarjorie A. Krueger of Alamo, Texas.

Walter O. Tylick sustained minor injuries in this accident a passenger in his vehicle 68 year old Brenda C.Tylick sustained serious injuries and both were transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital.

Jarjorie A. Krueger sustained minor injuries in this accident but refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident.
 
All three vehicle sustained moderate damages and were towed from the scene by Adrian Tow and J's Southland Tow.

Linda L. Hillman, 67, Freeman, Missouri died Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.Services are pending at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.

The Bates County Sheriffs office is reporting water over the road just east of KK on 18 highway. Please use an alternate route until floodwaters subside.

Multi vehicle accident closes I-49 near Adrian

The Missouri State Highway Patrol along with several fire and emergency personnel are on scene of a accident involving three vehicles at this time.

The accident is South of Adrian in the Southbound Lanes of I-49 around Mile Marker 140.6 which is across from the Adrian Optimist Building.
  
The traffic is backed up and it extends almost to Passaic. 


Update 5:10pm:
Both Northbound Lanes of I-49 are opened at this time

Kansas City man arrested in Bates County

On 6/26/16 around 8:51am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 39 year old Jason L. Knight of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mr. Knight was arrested for 1.) Misdemeanor warrant out of Clay County, Missouri.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail and is currently listed as bondable.

Osceola woman injured in Henry County rollover crash

On 6/25/16 around 9:25pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County responded to a one vehicle accident at the 200 block of  Route K in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Kia Soul driven by Velinda C. Chavarria of Osceola, Missouri traveled off the roadway struck a ditch and tree before overturning.

Velinda C. Chavarria sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Golden Valley Tow.
