Updated Obituary - Betty Burton

Betty Burton
Betty Burton, 62, of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the home of her daughter surrounded with family and love. 

Betty is survived by three daughters, Andrea Harris and husband Jeff, Drexel, Missouri, Kim Mastin and husband Sawyer, Harrisonville, Missouri and Toni Downey, Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Tristen, Breana, Paige, Adam, Collin, Madison, Brody, Kenzie, Evie and Ella; great-grandchildren, Canden, Skylar and Delilah; her mother, Peggy Burton; her father, Jimmie Burton and wife Carol all of Harrisonville, Missouri; her brother, Jimmie D. Burton, Butler, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice, Harrisonville.


Update: Butler man escapes serious injury in motorcycle wreck

Around 12:45pn this afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County responded to a one vehicle motorcycle crash on Missouri J Highway at Kamp Keirsey corner East of Amsterdam.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2016 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 63 year old John D. Miller of Butler, Missouri traveled off the roadway and was ejected from the bike.

Mr. Miller sustained minor injuries in this accident and he refused medical treatment.

The bike received minor damage and was towed by a private vehicle.

Minor Motorcycle accident on Kamp Keirsey Corner East of Amsterdam

The Bates County Sheriffs Office along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Amsterdam First Responders are in route to motorcycle accident on J Highway around Kamp Keirsey corner East of Amsterdam.

The man is said to have laid his bike down and has minor injuries. He refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident.
