Obituary - Dr. Norman Ricky

Dr. Norman Ricky, 81 of Belton, Missouri passed away July 19, 2016 in Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation, with a memorial service to be held at a later time. Cremation under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home (660-679-0009) in Butler, Missouri. Messages of condolence for the family may be left at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

Norman Douglas Ricky was born July 10, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska, son of Dana Bruce and Thelma (Shirley) Ricky. Dr. Norman was a Chiropractor in Raymore, Missouri.

Fingers crossed: Community College Classes in Butler...

Butler City Administrator Casey Koehn recently met with local school officials, along with those from the Missouri Community College organization and the push is on to make classes available in Bates County. This and other news from the Butler city council meeting is here:

WE know what cops like...

A daycare group stopped by to visit the Bates County Sheriff's Office this morning and quite appropriately, brought donuts as a treat. Sgt Davis returned the favor by providing everyone with a special hat and thanked them for their support
