Obituary - Nathaniel Eli Garcia

 Nathaniel Eli Garcia
Nathaniel Eli Garcia, 8 months, of Dry Branch, Georgia, was born November 12, 2015, in Macon, Georgia, the son of Christopher M. and Alexis C. (Cavin) Garcia.

He departed this life at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at his home surrounded with love and family.

Nathaniel was born with congenital Pseudo-Zellweger Syndrome. In his short time here on earth he made it known that he was opinionated, stubborn and a fighter. When all his medical teams said it was time and that he wouldn’t make it another month, he persevered and pushed on scrapping and fighting his illness clear up until the end.

He had the ability to melt everybody’s heart. Although he had difficulties seeing he loved looking at bright lights and the feel of someone’s beard, he also knew whenever his mom and dad walked into the room and would fuss to be held by them. He didn’t have any brothers or sisters, but he was watched over and cared by his canine siblings Max, Boomer, Taz, and Chewie and Inara. Inara recently died unexpectedly and we firmly believe Inara went first to be there to warmly greet Nathaniel with a familiar face and warm puppy kisses as he entered in to heaven.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Teresa Cavin; maternal great grandparents, Donald and Gwendolyn Coates, and David and Elaine Cavin.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Alexis; paternal grandfather, Ernest Garcia; paternal grandmother, Daisy (and Simon) Alviar; maternal grandfather, Randall (and Gyla) Cavin; paternal great grandparents, Fermine and Angie Canales, and Robert and Estella Munoz; and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Reverend Randy Messer will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
