Valerie Gean Wyatt
Valerie Gean Wyatt, 51, of Nevada passed away Sunday, August 8, 2016 at her home following a period of illness. Valerie was born February 10, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter Elbert Lee and Shirley Ellen (Fowler) Easley. She moved to the Nevada area where she worked as a Certified Medical Assistant. 

Valerie loved to be around family and her dogs. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wyatt of Nevada, two sons of Nevada, Ricky Green (Andrea) and Robbie Wyatt (Tina); five grandchildren, Kaylee Green, Chloe Green, Brinklee Wyatt, Brylan Wyatt, and Lexxi Wyatt; three brothers, Daralle Easley, San Francisco, CA, Stanley Bramlette, Bakersfield, CA and Thomas Easley, Nevada, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Linda Schnelder. 

Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until service time.

Police searching for vehicle stolen in Pleasanton Kansas

Obituary - Judy Olson

Judy's wishes were to be cremated. There are no public services. Arrangements under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) Butler, Missouri.

Judy Olson, age 78 of Rich Hill, Missouri died Monday, August 8, 2016 at her home in Rich Hill. She was born May 13, 1938 to Robert and Merle “Chic” Robertson Morris Eldred in Kansas City, Missouri.

Judy is survived by her husband Edward Olson of Rich Hill, Missouri; two sons, David Olson of Leawood, Kansas and Stephen Olson and wife Nancy of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Rebecca “Becki” Deluca and husband Vince of Butler, Missouri; one sister, Allis Jones of Climax Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Update: Two arrested after search warrant in Drexel area

The Bates County Prosecutor's Office has issued charges on two of the three subjects arrested last night in the search warrant that was conducted in the Drexel area. 

Lenny L James of Drexel DOB 11-23-1970 is Charged with Possession of a controlled substance a class C felony Bond set at $100,000 Cash Only. 

Kristin L Westrope of Drexel DOB 08-06-1989 Charged with Possession of a controlled substance a class C felony Bond set at $100,000 Cash Only.

Sharon Lee Love age 74 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Monday, August 8, 2016 at her home.

Sharon is survived by her son Joseph M. Love Jr. of Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Joeana Love of the home; three grandchildren, Katlyn, Zack, and Tori; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be 10:30 a.m., until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at The Worship Center, Harrisonville, Missouri.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at The Worship Center, Harrisonville, Missouri with lunch to follow at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Update: Several drugs and weapons recovered in search warrant served In Drexel Area

Bates County Sheriff’s Office and the CNET drug task force conduct’s a long term Investigation on a residence and its occupants located at 16179 NW County Road 14781 Drexel Missouri. 

During the investigation Bates County Narcotics unit receives information that a large amount of methamphetamine was being sold out of the residence. 

Based on the above information the Bates County Task Force Agents applied for and received a search warrant for the residence and its occupants.

On the night August 9, 2016 Bates County TAC team executed the search warrant on the residence. The TAC team made contact with two adult males and one adult female during the search warrant.

Once the scene was declared safe a search of the residence was conducted. The following items were located and collected as evidence.

Approximately one hundred and twenty grams of methamphetamine, approximately 5 grams crack cocaine, scales, drug paraphernalia and five firearms identified as a Titan .25 semi auto handgun, SKS rifle, Ruger 10/22, Harrison Richardson 32 gauge special, and a smith and Wesson 44 magnum. 

The suspects were arrested and transported to the Bates County Jail and placed on 24 hold pending charges.
