Marie Jeanie Sola, age 91 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Breezy Meadows in Butler. She was born March 22, 1925 to Constantin and Anastasia Papadopoulos Ozierski in Marseille, France.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Carol McCanles and husband Ron of Butler, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Rose Ann Spina of Kansas City, Missouri; several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Matthew in 1998; and two brothers in infancy.

Ted Leroy Malone, 77, passed away on August 10, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born to Duen and Mary Malone on September 3, 1938 in Pleasanton, Kansas, the youngest of five children. While attending Miami High School, he played on the basketball team and was a member of the glee club. In 1956 he married his high school sweetheart, Jean Warren, and the couple had three daughters. Ted attended Finley Engineering School and spent the majority of his career with Honeywell Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri.
After retiring in 1993, Ted became a volunteer fire fighter for the Amoret Fire Department, and enjoyed playing music, fishing, going to auctions, and spending time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and pets. There was never a time in Ted’s life when there wasn’t a treasured dog or two by his side. Ted’s love of animals was second only to his love for his family.
Ted is survived by his wife Jean, siblings Gladys Vance and Jack Malone (Barbara), daughters Rebecca (Allen), Molly, and Jan (Craig), seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and –nephews, and dogs Toby and Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents Duen and Mary, and brothers Kenneth and Lloyd.

Visitation will be prior to services from 1-2 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Contributions in lieu of flowers to Heartland Hospice.Harley Kenneth Stevens, age 78 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his home. He was born November 24, 1937 to William and Bernice Greer Stevens in Bates County, Missouri.
Harley is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Stevens of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Shari Diane Essenpries and husband Dick of Adrian, Missouri; one sister, Joan Phillips and husband Jerry of Butler, Missouri; three grandchildren, Matthew Newkirk and wife Hannah, Ashley Stephens and husband Gerold and Jacob Essenpries; three step grandchildren, Toby Essenpries and wife Bethany, Nick Essenpries and wife Tiffany and Colby Essenpries and wife Miranda; five great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Max Stevens; and one son Chad Cushard.
Stockton man held without bond after being charged with multiple sex crimes

Walt Meeker, 66, owner of Walt’s Archery and Gun, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 9, on the charges; however, a probable cause statement is not yet available because the investigation is ongoing. Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney Ty Gaither said it’s possible more charges will be filed.
The complaint Gaither filed alleges Meeker committed several sex crimes between Jan. 1, 2012 and Aug. 1, 2016, including two counts of first-degree felony statutory sodomy against a child younger than 14; one count of first-degree felony child molestation against a child younger than 14; and three counts of felony incest.
No hearing has been scheduled for the case.

Nevada man arrested for failure to register as a sex offender

Mr. Ledbetter was arrested for 1.) Class C Felony - Failure to register as a sex offender 2.) Misdemeanor trespassing.
He was booked into the Vernon County Jail and awaiting arraignment which is set for 9/12/16 at 9:00am in Vernon County.
Bond for Mr. Ledbetter was set at $5,000 Cash/Surety.

He was born June 15, 1957 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of William Harvey Meyer and Nancy C. (Hoffman) Meyer.
Al was employed as a truck driver with Covenant, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, and Fleischmann's Yeast Co., for thirty-two years. Most recently he was a self-employed truck dispatcher working from his home.
He married Kathleen Susan Walters on June 25, 1977 in Kirkwood, Mo. They divorced after thirty-one years of marriage.
Al was a member of Chapter 35, Freedom of Road Riders, Clinton, Mo., where he served as the club's inaugural president. When not riding motorcycles he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are, one son, Nicholas Meyer and wife Tara, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Sheri L. Kendrick and husband Andrew, Clinton, Mo.; his companion, Charlotte Churning of the home; three grand-children, Dayton Stewart, Kaden Stewart, and Chase Meyer; mother of Nic and Sheri, Kathy Walters, Clinton, Mo.; step-mother, Shirley Meyer, Clinton, Mo.; one brother, Keith E. Meyer and his wife Michelle, O'Fallon, Mo.; one niece, Megan Meyer; and one nephew, Cole Meyer, both of O'Fallon, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father William H. "Bill" Meyer on August 13, 2015; his mother Nancy C. Meyer on September 16, 2005; and one sister Sharon Lee Meyer on August 17, 1954.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., just prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
