Butler Police Department searching for man who fled on foot
The Butler Police Department along with Bates County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a unknown white male who took off running from them after ditching a bicycle behind Casey's General store on Orange Street in Butler.
The man who was known by the officer is said to be wanted on several warrants including a no bond probation and parole warrant.
He is said to have a beard and wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans and also a baseball cap.

Harrisonville teen injured in Cass County rollover accident
On 8/23/16 around 5:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Missouri Route P just North of Jefferson Parkway in rural Cass County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1996 Nissan driven by 17 year old Seth A. Peacock of Harrisonville, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturning into a creek bed before coming to rest.
Mr. Peacock sustained minor injures in this accident and he was treated at the scene of the accident by Cass County EMS.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow.

On July 17, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Gerald Laverne "Jerry" Richardson in Baron, Oklahoma.
Shirley was a homemaker and was the cafeteria manager for McEowen Elementary School, Harrisonville, Missouri until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to Red Hat events, cooking, reading and the companionship of her dogs. Shirley had moved to Harrisonville in 1966.
Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry on July 2, 2016; her son, Reagan Richardson; a brother, J.T. ( Joe Tommie) Wright.
Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Richardson, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Sherry Richardson, Harrisonville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jarred Richardson, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Amy Richardson, Detroit, Michigan; a brother, Frank Wright, Westville, Oklahoma; a sister, Virginia Adair, Piney, Oklahoma; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at a later date.

for a missing adult incident that occurred at 1308 West Campbell Raymore,
MO at 10:20 AM on 08/23/2016.
The endangered SILVER advisory missing adult is:
Frederick Lee Hill, a white, male, age 87, hgt 5'10, 156 lbs, gray hair,
blue eyes, (complexion) complexion, wearing gray sweatshirt, light blue
t-shirt, navy blue sweatpants, and brown slippers. Unique characteristics:
wears glasses
Diagnosed Medical Condition(s): Alzheimers, pancreatic cancer, and
diabetic

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Silver Person incident: Hill
has been denied a driver’s license and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s,
pancreatic cancer, and diabetes. He does not have his medications with him.
CANCELLED. Subject was located safe by Kansas City, MO Police Department.
Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone
having any information related to the endangered missing person should

Harrisonville High School Freshman killed when he was struck by a vehicle
The Harrisonville Police Department is assisting the Missouri State
Highway Patrol with a fatality motor vehicle accident involving a
pedestrian that occurred around 2:56pm in the 1100 block of east Elm Street in Harrisonville. The victim was identified as 14 year old Corey L. Turner, who was a freshman at Harrisonville High School.
Mr. Turner was walking down a sidewalk on east Elm Street when he was struck by a 1980 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 17 year old Kane A. Lightcap of Harrisonville, Missouri.
He was taken to Cass Regional Medical Center, where he passed away due to injuries sustained from the accident.
Traffic is still being diverted from the area, where officers are working an active scene.
