Sheriffs Office searching for suspect who fled on foot after police chase starting in Butler

The Butler Police Department  along with Bates County Sheriffs Deputies just ended a police pursuit of a blue in color GMC that failed to yield for officer who attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The vehicle fled from Butler officers on Orange Street and North on Business 49 all the way up the outer road of I-49 through Passaic and Adrian. 

The vehicle crashed around the area just south of  365th in the Archie area of Cass County.  A unknown subject fled from officers on foot through a field and he is currently still on the loose.

Since yesterday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has responded to 3,757 calls for service, 1,522 weather related crashes with 171 injuries and 6 fatalities. 

The fatal crashes were in the counties of Daviess, Iron, Morgan, Laclede, Newton, and Jefferson counties on 12-16-16. 

With more precipitation on the way, please avoid travel if possible. If you must travel, slow down, take your time, buckle up, and give emergency responders room to work safely.

Pet Pictures with Santa Canceled

Due to hazardous weather conditions predicted through the remainder of the weekend, House of Hound is canceling the Pet Pictures with Santa Paws scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, December 18th.  

No make up date is scheduled.

Clinton teen injured in Johnson County Crash

On 12/17/16 around 8:45am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Johnson County, Missouri responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 13 Highway just South of Route Y in rural Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 Ford driven by 19 year old Alexey L. Burnett of Clinton, Missouri lost control of her vehicle on a ice covered roadway, traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a ditch and a fence.

Alexey L. Burnett sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. The vehicle was secured and left at roadside.

Obituary - Patricia Lynn Foster

Patricia Lynn Foster, age 53, of Prescott, Kansas passed away at her home on December 14, 2016. Patricia was born on January 3, 1963 in Sussex, Deleware the daughter of Harry and Katherine Wood Kinder. Patricia loved nature and raising animals, she took great pride in her cooking ability and was a tremendous cook, she was a firm believer in God most of all family was very important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Billy, Donald and George. 

Patricia is survived by her husband Kenneth, four sons Anthony Fialkowski, Joseph Fialkowski, Brandon Borror and Kenny Foster, one daughter, Tiffany Riddle, three brothers, Michael Ira Callahan, Harry Nightengale, and Darryl, four sisters, Mary Ann Kinder, Kathy, Gloria Jean and Rebecca and six grandchildren.
