ALERT!!!! Many area residents are reporting that they are being contacted by telephone and told that they have won a Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes Prize.

IT IS A SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR IT. HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. Many are told they have won cash, an automobile or both. All are told that they should send money via Western Union to a subject (usually in Jamaica) as part of a fee to claim their prize.

They are even contacted by a fake "delivery driver" who is local and wants to deliver their prize or cash as soon as the money is wired in. Please do not fall for this.

Hang up immediately. These people are calling from a location outside of our country and there is no prize. Some of the calls are coming in to people from the number 876-491-6769, but there are surely others. Make sure you tell your family and friends about this and especially the elderly who are targeted frequently by this trash. Thanks!
