Obituary - Linda Bartley

 Graveside services for Linda "Lin" Bartley will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Missouri. There is no visitation. Contributions to Hospice of Choice or Baptist Children's Home. Services under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Linda “Lin” Jude Bartley, age 73 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, February 17, 2017 at her home in Butler. She was born September 29, 1943 to Arthur and Clotine Hatcher Bartley in Butler. Lin is survived by two nieces, Elizabeth Logan of Clinton, Missouri and Mary Steinshower and husband Terry of Downs, Kansas; one nephew, August Ray Fassler and husband Colleen of Washington, Missouri; and special friend Mickey Roberts and husband Gary of Butler, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Barbara Fassler.

James "Jim" Bell
It's with heavy hearts we announce the death of our Brother former Drexel Volunteer Firefighter James "Jim" Bell.

Jim, 44 was currently working as a Firefighter with Consolidated Fire District No. 2 Johnson County Kansas for the past 16 + yrs and had served with Drexel in the 90's.

Jim was severely injured on February 13th while on vacation with his family in Colorado and passed away early Friday morning February 17th 2017.
 

Jim is survived by his wife and 2 young boys. Funeral services are unknown at this time, and will be announced once they are finalized. Rest In Peace Brother

Missing Dog around West 52 Highway

Just rescued my friend Lin's Pom. She has run away. We live 1/4 west of Butler on 52 hwy. She headed south from our house in the pasture/timber. If you find her please call 660-424-0278. She was already traumatized because of Lin's death. Her name is Parfait. She looks similar to this picture. Weighs less than 4 lbs.
