Kristopher Mical Linthicum, 13, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 24, 2003 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Michael Lynn Linthicum and Anita Jane (Smith) Linthicum.
Kristopher enjoyed reading, playing cars, and being with and visiting with people.
Surviving are his father, Michael Linthicum; his mother, Anita J. Linthicum of the home; two brothers, Jacob Linthicum and Nicholas Linthicum, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Buck and Gertrude Smith, Appleton City, Mo.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.

On 3/1/2017, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 114 S Fulton Street Butler Mo 64730.
The search warrant was in connection to a multiple month long investigation between Bates County Detectives and Taskforce Agents from the CNET Drug Taskforce.

Multiple
complaints were received and information was developed in regards to
drug activity at 114 S Fulton in Butler. On a separate investigation
information was received about drug activity at multiple locations in
Rich Hill that were owned by the same person.
Approximately a
month ago at a monthly round table meeting CNET Agents working with area
agencies like Butler Police Department, Bates County Sheriff Office and
Rich Hill Police Department were able to connect the two investigations
with shared information. This information assisted in obtaining a
search warrant for 114 S Fulton Butler Missouri.
As the members
of the Bates County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant two
male subjects were at the kitchen table in the middle of a drug
transaction. Both males were taken into custody at the scene.
One male
subject was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and the
other male was taken to the Bates County Sheriff’s Office. The resident
of 114 S Fulton was identified as Phillip W Thornburg W/M 8/25/1961. The
other male subject identified as Leon D Berry W/M 9/7/1964.
At
approximately 130pm surveillance teams followed Berry from Rich Hill to
the house in Butler. After Berry had been at the house for a short time
Deputies executed the search warrant at the house. The long term
investigation led Detectives to believe that Thornburg had been

purchasing
and selling Methamphetamines at his house in Butler. The investigators
were able to develop information that over the last several months Berry
had been delivering methamphetamines to Thornburg in Butler.
During
the search of the residence multiple bags of methamphetamines were
seized along with digital scales, glass pipes and a small amount of cash
and a counterfeit $100 bill.
After Detectives completed a
search of the residence at 114 S Fulton Butler, they responded to the
residence of Leon Berry located at 805 East Walnut Rich Hill Missouri. A
consent search of that residence located a small bag of
methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. One subject was
arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled
substance. A second location, a shop owned by Berry located at 6th and
Maple Street was also searched by Detectives.

Thornburg was charged with Possession of a Controlled substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia, bond was set at $10,000 cash or
surety.
Leon D. Berry was charged with Distribution of a
controlled substance in a protected location, Possession of a controlled
substance, Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and forgery, bond was set
at $50,000 cash or surety.
Victor Recinos was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance with a bond of $10,000.
Additional charges may be filed at a later date as the investigation is ongoing.

multiple agencies getting together to share information led to a
successful investigation. Law Enforcement from this community is
committed to working together to protecting our citizens.”
Independence Street from Wall Street to Mechanic Street in Harrisonville will be closed to traffic on Friday morning, March 3, from 7 a.m. to noon.
A concrete pumper truck and other equipment will be blocking the roadway.

On 3/2/17 around 11:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Missouri 58 Highway just East of Prairie Lane Road in rural Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2003 Mercury driven by 17 year old Christian M. Large of Raymore, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, driver over corrected and ran off the left side of the roadway causing the vehicle to strike a driveway, overturn and come to rest on its top in a pond.
Christian M. Large along with two passengers in vehicle 16 year old Jayson M. Brooks of Raymore, Missouri and 18 year old Christopher R. Hagedorm of Raymore, Missouri all sustained minor injuries in this accident and all three were transported by South Metro Fire to Belton Regional Hospital for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by GT Tow.

Kenneth Edward Bruhn, 84, Nevada, MO, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 1, 2017 at Medicalodges of Nevada following a brief illness. Kenny was born on June 11, 1932 in Kearney, NE to Edward Charles Bruhn and Arlene F. (Bryant) Bruhn. He married Norma Armitage on December 21, 1954 in Miami, OK and she survives of Nevada.
Kenny was raised in Kearney, NE and graduated from Kearney High School. Following high school he went into the U. S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. After the service he came back to Wichita, KS and worked in that area for six years before moving to Eureka, KS to operate a private club and restaurant and later the Eureka Country Club. In 1972 he moved to Clinton, MO to manage the Clinton Country Club and Golf Course and later managed the Meadowlake Country Club also in Clinton. Kenney came to Nevada in 1981 to manage the Frank E. Peters Golf Course for ten years. He later worked for the City of Nevada Water Department and also Cottey College until his retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada.
In addition to his wife, Norma, survivors include his daughter Terri Cornell and her husband, Paul, Clinton; grandchildren, Stacy Harrington and her husband Will, Grain Valley, MO and Kenny Bruhn, Nevada; great grandchildren, Brianna, Taylor and Noah; his brother, Clark Bruhn and his wife Karen, Valley Center, KS; brother-in-law, Leroy Wheeler, Winfield, KS; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mike on February 26, 2017; and two sisters, Shirley Ann in infancy and Janet Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Bill Platt officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2017, at the funeral home.
