.MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
•Must be 18 years of age and High School Graduate/GED holder.
•Must have reliable transportation to work.
•Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least chest high.
•6 months of child care experience.
Must Pass background screening 

.JOB SUMMARY:
•Assists and supervises children during all activities. 
•Maintain children's daily schedules.
•Ensures that appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
•Assists with daily housekeeping task.
• Classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, accident reports, and attendance reports.
•Attends and participates in staff meetings and parent events as needed.
•Assists with preparation and implementation of classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedule.

Archie man sentenced to seven years in sodomy case

Benjamin G. Mullet 
On 4/4/17 the Cass County Circuit Court sentenced 31 year old Benjamin G. Mullet of Archie, Missouri to seven years MDOC.
According to the charges filed against Mr. Mullet stating that he had deviate sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old victim on or between Feb. 24, 2014 and May 15, 2015. 
The indictment stated Mullet was charged with second-degree statutory sodomy because the defendant was over 21 years old and the victim was younger than 17 at the time.
Mr. Mullet faces a similar case in another county. According to online court records, Mullet was charged with 17 felony counts of second-degree statutory sodomy and 15 misdemeanor counts of second-degree child molestation in Ray County. 
Records showed the defendant pleaded not guilty to the multiple charges, which were filed in December 2015. The case remains pending.
Mr. Mullet pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy in January of 2017 and he is still currently awaiting transfer to MDOC at this time.




Garden City Officers Stop Car for Expired Plates and Discover Suspended Driver with Warrants

At about 8:30 Tuesday evening, Officers of the Garden City Police Department stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Old 7 Hwy driven by a 46 year old man from Garden City. The plates on the car expired November 2016. 

A records check of the driver revealed the driver had active warrants for his arrest from another jurisdiction and his driver's license was suspended. 

The driver was transported to the Garden City Police Department where he was cited for Driving while suspended. No Insurance and Expired license plates.








Obituary - Joe A. Bell

Joe A. Bell, of Schell City, passed away Tuesday, April 11, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, Missouri He was 89. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green Mound Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends between ten and eleven o'clock Saturday morning at the funeral home. 

Memorials to Heartland Hospice are suggested and can be made in care of the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

Garden City woman arrested in Cass County

On 4/11/17 around 10:09pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County arrested 27 year old Ashley M. Atkinson of Garden City, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Felony Cass County Sheriff's Office Warrant 2.) No Seatbelt.

Ashley M. Atkinson was booked into the Cass County Jail and she later bonded out.
