From Osage Valley Electric Cooperative

Approximately 260 Osage Valley Electric Cooperative members in the Coal and Tightwad area in Henry County will experience a power outage starting around 10 AM this morning. 

Crews will doing work to replace poles that were damaged in the storm over the weekend. We expect this work to take only a few hours. 

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Tuesday afternoon storms

Storm chances will return to the area as early as this morning, and we may even see some strong to isolated severe storms this afternoon and evening. 

While storms will be isolated and relatively brief, strong wind gusts are possible within any storms which may develop in the highlighted area, which is a good consideration for the evening rush hour.

Three vehicle accident sends one to hospital south of Eldorado Springs

On 5/29/17 around 5:30pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cedar County responded to a three vehicle accident on 32 Highway around 1 mile South of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 Acura TL driven by 58 year old Sherrie D. Lohmeyer of Gladstone, Missouri rear ended the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 42 year old Donna A. Murphy of Eldorado Springs, Missouri causing the Tahoe to strike the 2006 Jeep Laredo driven by 45 year old Angela R. Rickman of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

A passenger in the Tahoe 24 year old Kathryn M. Murphy of Eldorado Springs, Missouri sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Two vehicles were driven from the scene and the other was towed from the scene by Stewards Wrecker of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

Stolen truck in rural Passaic

The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County is attempting to locate a stolen black in color 1997 Toyota truck that was stolen from just North of Passaic this evening.

The vehicle has a Missouri License Plate number of 8US-436.

Obituary - Bobby "Bob" G. Meyer

Bobby "Bob" G. Meyer, 86, Harrisonville, Missouri died Sunday, May 28, 2017 at his home in Harrisonville. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial, with military honors, in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31 10:00-11:00am at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kansas City Hospice. A complete obituary will be added when it becomes available.

Adrian Blackhawk football camp this week (May 30 - June 2). Weights from 6:00-7:00 AM and camp from 7:30-9:30ish.
