Butler Attorney Chris Benjamin Attends Annual Courts Conference for Municipal Judges

BUTLER, MO – Butler Attorney Chris Benjamin attended the annual courts conference last week in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The conference was hosted by the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association and provided required training for municipal judges across Missouri. 

Conference topics included updates on legislation and case law affecting the Missouri Courts, courtroom security, and maintaining operating standards pursuant to Supreme Court Rules. Benjamin has served as Garden City Municipal Judge since 2009.

Chris Benjamin also practices civil litigation and criminal defense work on the Butler square at the Caskey Professional Building.








Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bates County

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, Missouri has issued a severe thunderstorm warning form Bates County until 3:00pm.

The storm is capable of producing golf ball size hail and heavy rains with wind gusts up to 60mph.

He is not considered a suspect at this time but we do need to speak with him.

Keep a eye to the sky!

Severe thunderstorms are spreading into parts of Johnson and Miami Counties in Kansas, especially the Edgerton, Spring Hill, Hillsdale and Paola areas. 

If you live in these locations, it's time to move inside because these storms could produce hail almost as big as a golf ball as well as a lot of lightning and some strong winds.

These storms could make it as far as the Truman Lake area later this afternoon, while areas further north (northeast of the yellow line on the map) will stay mostly dry, at least for the next several hours.
