Thank your local trash man

A anonymous person sent Mid America Live a email this morning wanting to say Thank You to our local trash men here in Butler.

The Bates County Disposal guys as well as On Time Disposal LLC and Countywide Disposal are always picking up the trash in any weather, they are always on time, and they even pick up on holidays.

June 17th is National Garbage Man Day so we would like to take a moment to appreciate the men and women who make our world a little cleaner and greener!

From the Kansas State Game Warden's Service

Yesterday Miami County Kansas Game Warden Jaron Cox responded to an emergency call at Miami State Fishing Lake.

A strong storm with high winds and golf ball size hail had moved through and a subject who was camping there was left without shelter when his tent was destroyed.

Warden Cox had to drive around downed trees and through flooded areas to reach the subject and his service dog.

Fortunately, the man and his dog were ok with only minor injuries. Great work Warden Cox for taking care of our citizens!

Mid America Live News spoke with the crew of the Oak Hill Cemetery this morning and they would like to let the public know that due to the heavy rains and winds the past couple of days several of the Memorial Day Decorations have been misplaced and blown around the cemetery.

The crew understand that decorations can be very expensive and they would like to give you a couple days to come out and clean up the mess around your loved ones grave.

Please share this with your friends and lets help clean up Oak Hill!

Let the clean up begin!
