Obituary - Robert Leland Honn

Robert Leland Honn
Robert Leland Honn, age 83 years, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.  Funeral services ill be 10:30 am Friday, June 2, 2017 also at the Chapel.  

Interment will follow in Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Clinton American Legion Post 14 and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Robert was born August 25, 1933 in Henry County, Missouri the son of Gustavus and Mary Elizabeth (Demarie) Honn.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.  Robert drilled wells and did pump work as his vocation.  He was a proud lifelong member of Clinton Legion Post 14.  Some of his favorite pastimes included square dancing, gardening, making wine, and spending time with his family and friends.  Robert was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, including area high school sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Bud, Albert and Henry, and a sister, Margaret Gregory.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of the home, 4 children; Robert Honn (Rita) of Clinton, Missouri, Theresa Tillery (Todd) of Kansas City, Kansas, Peggy Bay of Sullivan, Missouri, and Teresa Ryan (Mike) of Grandview, Missouri, 9 grandchildren; Aaron Tillery, Jessie Tillery, Hannah Tillery, Megan Tillery, Laura Christie, Robert A. Honn, Olivia Honn, Emma Honn and Amy Bay, 6 great-grandchildren; Gabriel Tillery, Fiona Tillery, Gaia Christie, Sophia Honn, Jamie Honn and Kristi Pope, a brother, Pete Honn of Independence, Missouri, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.

Judy Ann French, 72, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. Services are pending.

From the Adrian School District

We just wanted to let you know that 2017 MAP assessment scores for individual students are now available at the High School office. You can pick up your student’s scores between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday through June 9. 

The office will be closed each day during lunch from 12:00-1:00. The test scores which are available include:

MAP scores for students in grades 3-8 for English Language Arts and Math MAP scores for students in grades 5 and 8 for Science

Please go to the high school entrance to pick up your student’s scores. If you do not pick them up by June 9th, the scores will be available for pick up on Meet the Teacher Night on August 17th.

Please review these scores and if you have any questions, please contact your student’s school.
