Fall Baseball League in Butler

We are starting a new Fall Baseball League in Butler for grades 3-12. We will have an Elementary Division, Middle School Division, and High School Division. The cost will be $30 which will include t-shirts and pay league costs including umpires.

We will play the Middle and High School Divisions on Saturdays and the Elementary Division on Sunday afternoons. We are seeking 25-30 players in each division and this is open to everyone, not just Butler residents. We will have a tryout date at the end of August.

The format will be playing the four weeks in September after Labor Day. Each Division will play double headers each week.

The teams will be picked as evenly as possible each week from the players attending. All divisions will play high school rules with leadoff and pickoffs. There will be no practices throughout the week, but individual or voluntary workouts are suggested.

For more information or to sign-up, contact Jeff Connell at 423-791-4303 or connell_jeff@yahoo.com. It will be first come first serve so don’t delay.

From the Mullinax Funeral Home

When a loved one passes away, we as funeral directors are faced with many questions from family members. It is our job to answer those questions to the best of our ability.

One of the most commonly asked questions deals with Social Security. What benefits are there? Who receives the small death benefit? How will my benefits as a spouse change? These are all good questions.

Mullinax Funeral Home knows the answers to your questions are important, and that is why our new website features so much helpful information.
