Funny Money Floating Around Nevada

In recent weeks Nevada Police sent out information on counterfeit money being passed in the area.

Again today, detectives within the department located more counterfeit money at a residence.

Take a careful look at the three bills posted. All three have the same serial number on them. You can see the ink is faded on the paper, which isn't consistent with genuine currency.

We continue to stress for businesses, and subjects obtaining money from others to look at the money you're being given before the transaction is finalized.

If you have any questions about counterfeit currency please call us at 417-448-5100 and ask to speak to an officer. We will be glad to help!

Fall Baseball League in Butler

We are starting a new Fall Baseball League in Butler for grades 3-12. We will have an Elementary Division, Middle School Division, and High School Division. The cost will be $30 which will include t-shirts and pay league costs including umpires.

We will play the Middle and High School Divisions on Saturdays and the Elementary Division on Sunday afternoons. We are seeking 25-30 players in each division and this is open to everyone, not just Butler residents. We will have a tryout date at the end of August.

The format will be playing the four weeks in September after Labor Day. Each Division will play double headers each week.

The teams will be picked as evenly as possible each week from the players attending. All divisions will play high school rules with leadoff and pickoffs. There will be no practices throughout the week, but individual or voluntary workouts are suggested.

For more information or to sign-up, contact Jeff Connell at 423-791-4303 or connell_jeff@yahoo.com. It will be first come first serve so don’t delay.
