Dear Sherwood School Parents!

Sherwood Parents - At 3:05pm today a false fire alarm was sounded when a student activated one of the emergency pull stations.

All students and staff were cleared from the building in a safe manner, all students were accounted for their safety, and once the building was clear the alarm was turned off and students were then allowed to dismiss for the day. As a result some students may arrive home 5 to 10 minutes later than usual.

Earlier in the day at 1:00 PM we had a schoolwide fire drill, and in both instances all of our students and staff did a great job. Thank you to our students for being safe and patient, and thank you to our teachers and staff who kept students calm and safe. If you have questions or concerns please reach out to Dr. Ritter at 660-499-2239 extension 400 during the school day tomorrow.
