Update: Three injured in Bates County Rollover Accident

On 11/2/17 around 3:10pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies, Bates County EMS and Butler Fire Department responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on CR NE 1003 (North Main Street) just north of CR NE 6004 in rural Butler.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 31 year old Martha J. Ramsey of Rich Hill, Missouri lost control over her vehicle and traveled off the east side of the roadway, overturned and struck a telephone pole before coming to rest on its top.

Martha J. Ramsey along with two other passengers in the vehicle 31 year old Alana D. Carpenter of Butler,Missouri and 31 year old Tyler J. McCoy of Webb City, Missouri were all three injured in this accident and all three were transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Gilkey's Tow of Rich Hill, Missouri.

Pursuit ends in Vernon County

Around 3:00pm this afternoon the Vernon County Sheriff's Office ended a police pursuit Northeast of Milo, Missouri and taking 2 subjects into police custody.

Tom Craft
Tom Craft, 73 of Butler, Missouri passed away November 1, 2017 at his home in Butler. Cremation, with memorial services 3:00 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Virginia United Methodist Church, Butler, Missouri. 

Visitation will be held prior to services on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, also at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to House of Hound animal shelter. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com
