Rina Darline Mason, age 65 of Adrian, Missouri died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her home in Adrian. She was born August 23, 1952 to Thomas Lee and Edith Begshaw Mason in Louisburg, Kansas.

Rina is survived by two brothers, Clem Mason of Louisburg, Kansas and Thomas Burke and wife Linda of Louisburg, Kansas; one sister, Tammie Mason of Adrian, Missouri; and three nieces, Chandra, Stacie and Christie.

Shirley Ann Heavener, age 79 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born November 28, 1938 to Louie Albert and Hazel Marie Smith Heavener in Kansas City, Missouri.

Shirley is survived by four sisters, Betty Joeann Heavener of Butler, Missouri, Barbara Heavener of Butler, Missouri, Mildred Heavener of Butler, Missouri and Ida Bell Plank and husband Donald of Clark, Missouri; two brothers, Bill Heavener and wife Donna of Independence, Missouri and Jim Heavener of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert Heavener and Louie Laverne Heavener.



Golden Employee of the Month

GOLDEN EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Mary Pawelski, MDS Coord Rehab Unit. She’s been a dedicated employee with Golden Years of Harrisonville for over 4 years. She loves dogs of all kinds and has a very caring heart. Her favorite thing about working at Golden Years is the teamwork, friendliness of the staff, and most of all, the love and care we give our residents. “We consider them all family.” 

Her advice to others is, “Never forget that having a job is a privilege, so come to work with a positive attitude, ready to give 110% and the willingness to learn something new everyday.”
