Hollister woman arrested in Bates County

On 12/29/17 around 8:56am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 21 year old Brittany L. Jones of Hollister, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Misdemeanor St. Clair County Sheriff's Office Warrant.

Brittany L. Jones was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and she is currently listed as bondable.

New Trial Date Set in Kylr Yust Case

The man accused of murdering Jessica Runions and Kara Kopetsky in Cass County won't be going to trial for a while.

Kylr Yust's new attorney from the St. Louis public defender's office, Robert Lundt, appeared in Cass County court Thursday morning on behave of Mr. Yust.

The court case was continued to March 1,2018 at 9 a.m. A trial date may be set then. Mr. Yust was not in court yesterday.

Yust is accused of murdering Kopetsky in 2007 and Runions in 2016. The remains of both women were found in rural Cass County by mushroom hunters.

Deepwater woman injured in Benton County Crash

On 12/28/17 around 3:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Benton County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Route Z at Puddle Jumpers in rural Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2010 Ford Edge driven by 23 year old Kristina L. Schliefert of Deepwater, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Kristina L. Schliefert sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Tollivers Towing.

Rich Hill man arrested in Bates County

On 12/28/17 around 11:30pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 19 year old Jimmy E. Long of Rich Hill, Missouri.

Mr. Long was arrested for 1.) Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana 3.) Possession of drug paraphernalia 4) Failure to illuminate license plate.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler, Missouri and later released.
