Obituary - Charles Vunovich

Charles Vunovich, 58 of Amoret, Missouri passed away January 4, 2018 at his home in Amoret. Cremation, with memorial services scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, January 8, 2018 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). A visitation will be held prior to services from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, also at the funeral home.

Charles Robert Vunovich left this life to join his parents and grandmother in heaven.

“Charlie” was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Steve and Wanda Woods Vunovich on January 27, 1959. He attended school in Kansas City until mid tenth grade year when he dropped out of school to help support his parents and four sisters. In the mid 70's, the family moved to East Lynne, Missouri.

Charlie married Yodie Heaper on September 17, 1981. They had four children and lived most of their life together in Amoret, Missouri. Charlie worked most of his life as a welder machinist and material handler. Charlie, Yodie and their four kids also had a firewood business for several years.

Charlies was preceded in death by his parents Steve and Wanda Vunovich and his maternal grandmother, Edith Woods.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Yodie Vunovich of the home in Amoret, MO., four children, Charles Robert Vunovich II and wife Tabatha of Amoret, Missouri, Renee and husband 
Michael Willour of Harrisonville, Missouri, Steve and wife Tracy Vunovich of Adrian, Missouri and Cheryl Jean (C.J.) Vunovich of Butler, Missouri.

Nine grandchildren: “Lane”, Alyssa, Kacey, Emma, Carla, Shyanne, Abby, Colby and Landon.

He is also survived by his four sisters, Pam Howard, Stephanie Chamberlain, Rhonda Pilcher and Melissa DeTienne, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family member



Adrian man injured in Johnson County rollover accident

On 1/3/18 around 6:15pm the Missouri State Highway in Johnson County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Missouri 2 Highway at Route O in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2002 Chevrolet driven by 33 year old Dusty W. Ferrell of Adrian, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a road sign and overturned.

Mr. Ferrell sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Ron's Tow.

Obituary - Laurel Marie "Bebo" White

Laurel Marie "Bebo" White, age 97, Prescott, Kansas passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at Prescott Country View. She was born on April 10, 1920 in Linn County, Kansas the daughter of Elias and Leona Bradley Bloomfield. She graduated from Prescott High School and married Earl T. White on June 25, 1938 at the Bourbon County Courthouse. She and Earl were involved in several business adventures during their married years. Some of these included: a trucking business, produce and feed store, service station, and being a janitor at the Prescott School. She was a member of the Prescott United Methodist Church, being active in several different ministries. Earl and she took many trips, as they loved to travel. One included a summer excursion to Idaho that included work and a bear hunt. They enjoyed attending all the family activities from their kids, to grandkids and great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl, son and daughter in law, Joe and Shirley, daughter Reba Ann, brother, Russell Bloomfield, and two sisters, Lila Wood and Rosalee Dugan. She is survived by her children, Patty Coleman and husband Geryl, son, Donnie White and wife Kathy, six grandchildren: Susan, Debbie, Dani, Sonja, Dane and Shane; fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Prescott United Methodist Church. Burial in the Barnesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Friday, January 5th at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
