Update: Rich Hill School Closed Today due to second water leak found
Rich Hill school district officials say a second water leak in the city system has now been found and as a results they are now canceling classes for today (Friday) due to very low water pressure.

Light Wintry Mix Possible On Sunday
There is increasing potential for light wintry weather affecting the Missouri Ozarks region Sunday morning into early Sunday afternoon...especially over the eastern Ozarks. Any light wintry weather will likely cause travel impacts Sunday morning.
Warrant arrest in Barton County
On 01-02-2018 a Deputy with the Sheriff's Office went to the Polk County Sheriff's Office and picked up Christopher J. Munson, age 28, of Golden City which was incarcerated in that facility.
Munson has an active Barton County felony warrant for probation violation and had been arrested in Polk County.
Mr. Munson was transported back to the Barton County Jail and served his warrant. He was given a court date and processed into the jail.
Clinton man arrested for possession and promoting of child porn
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Nathan Braun Greufe, 36, of Clinton, Missouri, on January 4, 2018, for promoting and possession of child pornography.
On Thursday, January 4, 2018, investigators executed a search warrant at Greufe’s residence located on West Clinton Street, in Clinton. As a result of their search, investigators located child pornography and computer equipment used to commit the crimes. Greufe was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail.
The Henry County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Greufe with promoting child pornography in the first degree and possession of child pornography. Bond was set at $25,000.
The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages Internet users to report promptly to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children. The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit is partially funded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety State Cyber Crime Grant and the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

Update: Kansas City man arrested after Cass County Pursuit
On 1/4/18 around 8:21pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County attempted to stop a vehicle near I-49 and Missouri 7 Highway south of Harrisonville.
The vehicle failed to yield for the trooper and a pursuit ensued on northbound I-49 before ending after the vehicle hit spike strips north of Peculiar.
The driver who was identified as 36 year old Donovan R. Williams of Kansas City, Missouri was arrested for 1.) Failure to yield to a emergency vehicle 2.)Fail to Illuminate license plate 3.) Failure to display valid plates 4.) Misdemeanor possession of Marijuana 5.)Misdemeanor Drug Paraphernalia 6.) Driving while suspended 7.) Belton Police Department - Misdemeanor Warrants (3) 8.) Pettis County Sheriff's Office Warrant (1).
Mr. Williams was booked into the Cass County Jail in Harrisonville, Missouri and he is currently listed as bondable.

Oklahoma woman arrested in Barton County
On 01-02-2018 The Barton County Sheriff's Office was told about a subject that had left the Barton County Courthouse and appeared to be impaired.
The complainant advised the subject had left in a vehicle and was driving westbound on 12th street in Lamar. Lamar Officers and a Deputy with the Sheriff's office went to look for the suspect. A Lamar officer observed the suspect vehicle pull into our local Taco Bell.
The officer made contact with the individual and conducted a driving while intoxicated investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation Lisa J. Dahlstrom, age 47, of Tulsa Oklahoma was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail. Dahlstrom had been arrested previously on the 29th of December in Lamar on the same criminal charge of Driving while Intoxicated.
At the time Dahlstrom submitted to a breath test she tested almost three times over the legal limit to drive a motor vehicle. Dahlstrom was placed on a twenty four hour hold for investigation and the reports were submitted to the Barton County Prosecutor.
A warrant was obtained and served to her the following day for driving while intoxicated with no bond. Dahlstrom is incarcerated in the Barton County Jail.
