Butler man escapes injury in Cass County Crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2014 Ford Focus driven by 59 year old Norris L. Smith of Butler, Missouri lost control on ice covered roadway and slid off the left side, striking a median cable.
Mr. Smith sustained minor injuries in this accident but he refused medical treatment at the scene.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow of Raymore, Missouri.

One vehicle rollover accident on Y Highway
A unknown make and model green truck is overturned into the ditch at this time. No one is reported to be in the vehicle at this time.

Two more rounds of snow early this week
Two more rounds of light to moderate snow are expected through the early part of next week.
Round 1 will take place Monday morning through the afternoon across far northern Missouri. The higher amounts should stay north of the area, across Iowa, but far northern Missouri could still see 1-3 inches, perhaps some higher amounts closest to the IA border.
Round 2 will take place Tuesday morning, and could last through the evening. Both the morning and evening commutes on Tuesday could be impacted with some snow. While we are expecting widespread 1-3 inch amounts along and south of the HWY 36 corridor, there could be some higher amounts along a narrow east/west band near the I-70 corridor. Forecast certainty is still on the low to medium side, but will increase with time, so keep tuned into the forecasts.
