City of Pleasanton Kansas Job Opening

Chris Reno named Clinton Firefighter of year!

Congratulations to Class B Engineer Chris Reno for being named the Clinton Fire Departments “Firefighter of the Year”. The award was presented at the Elks Lodge First Responder Appreciation Dinner this past Saturday, May 5th

A big thank you Nevada Speedway!

The 50/50 for the Bird Family Saturday night raised nearly $1,000 after Nevada Speedway's Donation of $100!

The winner of the drawing donated his half back to the family! We could not have helped this family without the support of our amazing and giving fans!

Thank you to the Beebe's for sacrificing an evening to sell tickets and especially to Mark Crandall for his generosity!

Obituary - Billie Dean Sisk

Billie Dean Sisk, 70, Archie, MO, died Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home, surrounded with family and loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie, MO with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial to follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Billy was born February 19, 1948 in Archie, MO to Junior and Carilla (Courtney) Sisk. He chose to spend his final moments in the very home he was born and raised. Billy was also supported by his brother Jim’s little dog, Baby, whom Billy renamed Duke. Billy graduated from Archie High School in 1966. He enjoyed playing baseball, riding motorcycles and drinking beer with his friends. Billy was such a talented baseball player; he made the team as freshman. He loved his family and even though he never had children he accumulated a lot of nieces and nephews that thought the world of him. He enjoyed going to the Tavern, local bars, and listening to good old country music, especially Patsy Cline.

Billy was drafted into the Army where he served in the Vietnam War. After serving our country he returned to Archie, where he began his career as a bricklayer. He soon became a master brick Mason where he created most of the beautiful fireplaces in the Adrian and Archie area.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Carilla Sisk, one brother, Jimmie Thomas Sisk, and his sister, Anna Mae Stark. He is survived by one brother, Harold Dean Sisk (Cheryl), Canton, GA. He will also be remembered by many as Uncle Billy, leaving behind a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews, and even great-greats.
