Closing of the Sears store in Butler

It is with sadness in my heart that Sears is closing the store in Butler, Mo. I tried and many shopped locally trying to support and keep the store, which has been an icon in Butler for many years. Sears did not give me any options. It was a financial decision by Sears.

Butler is not alone, 31 Hometown Sears stores across the US are closing on July 1. We are having a liquidation sale. Sears does not want to ship this out so they are giving heavy discounts.

It has been a great honor to serve the fine folks all over west
central Missouri and East Central Kansas. Thank you for your
commitment to my family, employees and your community.

I will be increasing my stock at my used appliance warehouse located
behind the "old" O'reilly's building next to Carpenter's Cup. This
will include new appliances, Rheem water heaters, Milwaukee tools with
future plans to expand to lawn and garden. We pride ourselves in
local service, no longer under Sears service.

Hope to see you soon and again THANK YOU!!
