Door to Door Sales Scams

It's that time of year again when door-to-door salesmen hit the streets offering to sell you new or upgraded services.

Generally, a legitimate company will have their salesmen obtain a business license before going door to door. If you are contacted by a salesman and suspect that they are not legitimate, please contact your local Police Department

Some helpful information to get would be: Their name, a business card (if they have one), a description of the individual(s), a description of their vehicle (if they have one) and any company markings there may be. Also, any identifying or contact information they may give you during their sales pitch.
