From the Clinton Police Department
One year ago today, our community was struck with devastation as we learned of the murder of one of our police officers, Gary Michael. Like much in life, tragedy can strike at any time, however, this tragic event was one that our community was not prepared for, rightfully so. 6 months later we lost another brother in blue, Ryan Morton and to this day, our local law enforcement faces situations not common in a community our size.
Today we ask you to remember Gary, remember how you felt that day when you heard of his murder. Tomorrow and into the future, we ask that you remember those law enforcement officers that are still doing their jobs, day in and day out. Sometimes a simple smile, wave, or even a “thank you” will let that officer know that they are appreciated.
To our brothers at the CPD, we love you and continue to pray for each of you and your safety. We are here brothers, carry on.
