From the Bates County Memorial Hospital

Since February of this year, Bates County Memorial Hospital has been undergoing an extensive change to a different electronic medical record and patient billing system. At that time the hospital made the decision to not send patients their statements for services received at the hospital until we were confident the statements would be accurate.

Our staff has been working diligently with our electronic medical record vendor to ensure patient charges for services would reflect correctly on the patients’ bills. After intensive work, the hospital will be mailing hospital bills to patients the week of September 10, 2018.

We apologize for this delay and any inconvenience this may cause you.

Please contact the Patient Accounts Department at Bates County Memorial Hospital for any questions or concerns you have regarding your hospital bill at 660-200-2002 or 866-492-4703.

Thank you for choosing BCMH as your provider. We are committed to serving you and providing quality patient care close to home.

Adrian 9-11 remembrance ceremony

On Tuesday evening, September 11, 2018 The Adrian Fire Department along with our brothers and sisters from all branches of the emergency services will conduct the seventeenth 9-11 memorial ceremony.

Emergency vehicles will line up on Clark Street at 6:00 P.M. and starting at 6:30 P.M. a silent procession of emergency vehicles will make its way from the Adrian Manor Nursing Home down to Main Street and then proceed out to the Optimist community building where a special memorial ceremony will take place starting at approximately 7:15 P.M.

The ceremony is open to the public and we encourage everyone to come. Come out and watch the procession and then make your way out to the community building to enjoy a great program.

During the program we will recognize all veterans and all military personnel serving our country still today. The freedoms we have today are ours because of their many sacrifices. Please take a minute to say thank you to those brave men and women.

Stormy week with possible flooding

Multiple rounds of showers and storms are expected this week as ample amounts of moisture continue to work north from the Gulf of Mexico.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon are also expected by the weekend. Flooding will become an increasing concern as the week continues on.
