2018 Garden City Fall Festival kids Bike Parade
We are so excited to have a kids bike parade! This is a great way to let the kiddos in our community be a part of the parade! Kids (ages 3-14) can decorate their bike and then they will have their own parade before the big parade! Registration info is on the flyer! It will begin at 10:30 am! Tell all the kids you know!

Comfort Inn and Suites in Harrisonville is now looking to hire energetic, reliable, and customer service oriented employees. We are hiring for evenings 4 PM to 12 AM and overnights from 12 AM to 8 AM.

Obittuary - Kenney G. Harvey
Kenney G. Harvey, 70, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at his home.
He was born December 26, 1947 in Earlham, Iowa, the son of Roland Charles Harvey and Lois Garnet (Brower) Harvey.
Kenney was employed as a pressman with DeLuxe Checks for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are one son, Paul E. Harvey, Des Moines, IA; one daughter, Angela Daye Harvey, Des Moines, IA; and two sisters, Joyce Dunbar, Earlham, IA and Gina McNair, Adel, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mathew Wade Harvey; two brothers, Jack Harvey and Jerry Harvey; and three sisters, Bonnie Woolery, Sally Rudkin and Carol Jean (DeeDee) Palmer.
Mr. Harvey has been cremated under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. No services are planned at this time. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.

Obituary - John F. Stein
John was born September 14, 1948 to Henry F. X. and Marjorie J. ‘Ward’ Stein of Kansas City, MO. After high school graduation, John attended Wentworth Military Academy where he received his Associates Degree. He then enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy for almost 4 years, during the Vietnam War. John married Diana Berry on May 29, 1971 in St. Joseph, FL. He worked as a welder and in industrial maintenance. John’s greatest influence in his life was his Grampa Ward, who took him everywhere and taught him about life.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Diana; his three children, Dawn Norush (Doug), Cliff “Buddy” Stein (Angela) and Myron E. Stein; 6 grandchildren, Douglas, David, Christia, Aaron, Xavier and Natasha; two sisters, Julia M. Dove and Marjorie A. Blasche; a sister-in-law, Eileen Ortagus (Ed); also other family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and a great-grandson, Huxlee Norush.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Serenity Hospice and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, MO 64735.

Kenneth Leroy Gill, age 75, of Windsor, MO, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Kenneth was born at the family home in Hillsboro, Iowa, on May 28, 1943 to Kenneth H. and Wanda ‘Sammons’ Gill. He graduated from Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Iowa. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from July 24, 1961 to December 10, 1965. Kenneth worked many different jobs; he owned and operated Flying K Taxidermy.
He married Ricky R. McDonald in Warrensburg, MO, on July 25, 1998. Kenneth enjoyed painting, drawing, archery and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Ricky of the home; four children, John Gill, Michael (Lesley) Gill, Jennifer Brown and Dalton Gill; ten grandchildren, Jonetta, Kelsey, Leastie, Jakob, Brock, Lexi, Isabella, Zane, Michael and David; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Richard (Candi) Gill, James (Jim) Gill and Tanja (John) Houk; other family and several friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his son, Brent Gill, and two brothers, Randy and Jerry Gill.
Kenneth was cremated. Services will be held at a later date.
