Obituary - Alex Lewellen

Alex Lewellen, age 20 of Clinton, MO passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Research Medical. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Suicide Hotline and may be left in care of the funeral home. A funeral service for Alex will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2pm at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home with interment to follow at Deepwater cemetery, Deepwater, MO.

Alex was born on August 27, 1998 in Clinton, MO to Brandie Tipton and Kevin Lewellen. Alex was very artistic and loved drawing. He wore his heart on his sleeve. Alex was very confident, he followed through with whatever he put his mind to. He loved to play his guitar and was really good around children. Alex loved his brother and sister.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa, Mary and Dean Lewellen. and his step-mother and father, Diane and Rick Hoglen.

Alex is survived by his father, Kevin Lewellen, Deepwater, MO, mother, Brandie (Matthew) Reid, Gulfport, FL, brother, Brett Lewellen, Deepwater, MO, sister, Miranda Lewellen, California, MO, maternal grandparents, Therman and Catherine Tipton, Clinton, MO, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.

School bus crash in St. Clair County

On 9/17/18 around 6:40am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a one vehicle school bus accident on ZZ Highway around 2 miles north of Iconium, Missouri in rural St. Clair County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2012 School Bus driven by 45 year old Trinity L. Bennett of Lowry City, Missouri suffered a medical condition which caused her to travel off the left side of the roadway, striking a mailbox and fence before coming to rest in a field. NO children were on the bus at the time of this accident.

Trinity L. Bennett was transported by ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri for treatment.

The bus sustained minor damages and it was driven from the scene of the crash.

Updated Obituary - Curtis Allen Wayne Peters

Curtis Allen Wayne Peters, age 27, Pleasanton, Kansas died Thursday, September 13, 2018. He was born in Fort Scott, Kansas on December 27, 1990 the son of Terry Peters and Donna Lahr Peters. He worked as a laborer in the construction industry. 

Curtis was a Christian, attending any church that preached the bible. He had a passion for fishing. He is survived by his mother, Donna Peters and Aaron, father, Terry W. Peters, a brother, Chandler, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel followed by a procession to Stegge Lake where a service will be held.

Scot Henderson, 55, Grandview, Missouri departed this life on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Sunrise Beach, Missouri.

Scot will be greatly missed and loved by his wife, Lisa Kresse Henderson, family and many friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Harrisonville Community Church, 1606 Chapel Drive, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the church.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at Walker Road at Richland Parkway, Pleasant Hill, MO at 1:30 PM on 09/16/2018.
Missing Is: Travis J. Jacobs a white, male, age 45 The endangered missing person:

Travis J. Jacobs, is a white, male, age 45, hgt 6'02, 242 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, with tattoo on right forearm of a cross with a heart in the middle, wearing a dark brown shirt, tan cargo shorts, and blue slip-on shoes.

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Missing Person incident:

Mr. Jacobs suffers from traumatic brain injury and takes medications that make him susceptible to heat stroke. He does have ties to the Garden City and Hermitage, MO areas.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Pleasant Hill Police Department at 816-540-9109.
