Missing man in Barton County

Barton County Sheriff Mitchell Shaw is asking for the help of the community. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a missing man from our area. On October 24th a family member of Michael B. Rapue, age 29 made a report that he has not been seen or heard from for several days. We have attached a couple photographs of Mr. Rapue just in case anybody should happen to locate or see him. 

If anybody has any information in regards to his whereabouts you’re asked to contact the Barton County Sheriff’s Office at either 417-682-5541 or 417-682-5515 or you can contact your local Law Enforcement Agency.

Obituary - Juanita L. Rathjen

Juanita L. Rathjen, 80, Garden City, MO, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will follow in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, MO.

Donald Allen Due, 66, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Nevada. Donald was born September 15, 1952 in El Centro, CA to Scott and Dorothy (Mann) Due.

Garden City woman injured in Cass County Rollover Accident

On 10/30/18 around 6:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Route B just east of I-49 in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1997 Mercury driven by 51 year old Lisa A. Fletcher of Garden City, Missouri traveled off the roadway and down a embankment before overturning.

Lisa A. Fletcher sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow.
