Obituary - Rose Brickle

Rose Brickle, 85 of Butler, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Butler Medical lodge Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Monday, also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Adrian. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com

Georgia Rose Brickle was born October 6, 1933 to D.D. and Ethel Wolf Bassett in the Pleasant Gap Community. She grew up in the Butler, Missouri area and graduated from Butler High School in 1951. Rose then continued her education at the Central Business College in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a secretary for many years.

Rose also did a lot of volunteering over the years, she was always available to help anyone. Rose loved to correspond with friends and family with cards and letters. She loved parties and parades and especially the local 4th of July parades. She loved attending church and bible study and was a big fan of Billy Graham. Rose could always be counted on to look out for and help others. Rose lived throughout the south with her husband Carl and for many years in Florida. She enjoyed whirlwind trips in years past with her sisters to New Orleans and Boston.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl Brickle, brothers, Leslie Hancock, Lloyd Bassett, and Dillard Bassett, by sisters, Helen Hall, Bernita DeShields, and Shirley Weber. She is survived by her sister Marvel Walker, nephews, nieces, and special friend Dolan Seymour.
