From the Benton County Sheriff's Office

On 10/03/18 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Misty J. Card 31 was observed and identified driving a motor vehicle near Warsaw.

The deputy having prior knowledge of Card having outstanding warrants for failure to appear on drug charges, pulled her over and arrested her.

An inventory search of Card's vehicle prior to being towed, produced the narcotics pictured here which field tested as methamphetamine.

Card is being held in the Pettis County Jail due to our overcrowding issue, on $50,000 bond for several felonies including drug trafficking in the 2nd degree and $50,000 for the outstanding warrants for a total of $100,000 C/S bond.

Shooting Death Investigation In Benton County

On 10/31/2018 at approximately 5:15 Am, Deputies responded to an address on Spirit drive near Lincoln MO for a gunshot victim. The victim was identified as Kathy R. Bolejack 32, who was deceased upon arrival from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The reporting party was Shawn P. Jones 47 who initially stated his girlfriend took her own life. After deputies conducted their investigation, several inconsistency were discovered which led them to believe that a crime had been committed. The MSHP’s Division of Drugs and Crime Control were notified and asked to assist in the investigation.

A thorough investigation led investigators to believe that Jones perpetrated the shooting death of Bolejack.

Mr. Jones was charged with Voluntary Man Slaughter, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Jones is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
