Bench Dedication to fallen Clinton Police Officers

Bench Dedication: Boy Scout Troops 225 and 430, the Clinton Rotary Club, and Legacy Memorials, dedicated a bench outside of City Hall to fallen Officers Ryan Morton and Gary Lee Michael, Jr., Tuesday evening, November 27.

“We love our officers and the sacrifices you make every second of every day,” said Renee Garrison (who helped coordinate the memorial dedication bench). “We love your families as they share you with us. You will always, always protect the thin blue line, and we will always, always stand behind you. You all are our heroes and we are forever indebted to you for you, selfless service and sacrifice.”

"Taps" was played by Logan Houk after Boy Scout members read “Killed In The Line Of Duty,” a poem written by Lt. Dan Marcou (of the Blue Knights). The Boy Scouts took turns reading the stanzas of the poem.

Speaking to the officers attending, Garrison said: “Please accept this forever memorial from Clinton’s Boy Scout Troops 430 and 225, the Clinton Rotary Club, and Legacy Memorials.
