Obituary - Arlene Snow

Arlene Snow, age 92, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 17, 1926 at Mound City, Kansas the daughter of Chester A. and Fallie DeMott Nickelson. 

She was united in marriage to Frank Wilford "Bill" Snow on October 25, 1942 at Mound City. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1987. 

Arlene worked at Stoughton''s Shoe Store, Big Dollar Surplus and Prescott Country View. She attended the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing cards. 

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Frankie Lynn Snow, and a son, Wilford Leon "Butch" Snow; and two sisters, Dollie Jamison and Ruth Cosens. Arlene is survived by a son, Larry Snow and wife Judy, a daughter in law, Sharon Snow Ala, four grandchildren: Angela Johnson, Tina Stillians, Frank Snow and Art Snow; seven great grandchildren: Jake, Haley, Tyler, Lacy, Taylor, Tanner and Brooklyn; one great great granddaughter, Sophee Mae and soon to be great great grandson, Beckett Stockton.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Mount Carmel Cemetery near Mound City. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at the Pleasanton Chapel.

Obituary - Cory Page Allin

Cory Page Allin, 35, Warresburg, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Research Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Renee Page and paternal grandfather, Marvin Allin.

He is survived by his fiancé, JJ Chae of the home; his father, Mark Allin, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two brothers, Ryan Allin and wife Lucy, Salina, Kansas, Brandon Allin and wife Brittany, Melford, Oregon; a sister, Kellie Allin and fiancée, Danny Havert, Bloomington, Indiana; his maternal grandparents, Lee and Barbara Page, Harrisonville, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Judy Allin, Tampa, Florida; his uncle, Butch Page and wife Susan Foster, Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the VFW Post #4409, 1804 N. Commercial Street, Harrisonville, Missouri with Military Honors.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Obituary - Robert Morris

Robert Earl Morris, Sr. 76 of Lowry City, Missouri passed away November 29, 2018 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Robert’s wishes were to be cremated with no public services to be held.

Robert Earl Morris, Sr. was born August 9, 1942 in Gattman, Mississippi to Othor and Mollie Webb Morris. He worked as a Sheriff’s deputy for many years in Wyandotte County Kansas. After retiring he moved to Missouri.

Robert is survived by his four children, Roger, Robin, Molly and Robert, Jr. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

From the Barton County Sheriff's Office

The Barton County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a car accident at approximately mile marker 72 on I-49 Highway South of Lamar. Emergency responders are at the scene of the accident right now. 

The accident is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. At this time there is one lane of traffic open in the southbound lane. 

We do not have information on injuries. We're asking all those traveling on I-49 to drive with caution in the area of the accident.
