Nevada woman arrested in Barton County

On 12/4/18 around 7:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Barton County arrested 21 year old Sidney D. Balthrope of Nevada, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Two Misdemeanor Vernon County Sheriff's Office Warrants - Failure to appear in court on traffic violations.

Sidney D. Balthrope was booked into the Barton County Jail in Lamar and she is currently listed as bondable.

Warsaw woman killed in Pettis County head on crash

On 12/3/18 around 1:07pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Pettis County along with Pettis County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle head on crash on southbound US 65 Highway and Claycomb Road in rural Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2013 Dodge driven by Dolores R. Letourneau of Sedalia, Missouri was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of traffic when she struck the 1999 Toyota driven by 86 year old George R. Argie of Warsaw, Missouri head on.

A passenger in Mr. Argie vehicle 76 year old  Myrtle L. Argie of Warsaw, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of this accident.

George R. Argie and Delores R. Letourneau both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported to Bothwell Hospital.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by Don's Towing of Sedalia.

Obituary - Henry G. Bradley

Henry G. Bradley, age 70, Hume, Missouri passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born on July 29, 1948 the son of Dale and Helen Kleitz Bradley. Henry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a welder for United Bakery Equipment. 

He was a member of the Hume Baptist Church, Hume Fair Board and the Hume Volunteer Fire Department. Henry always put his family first, especially his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lloyd Bradley; three sisters; Mary Ann Tennis, Sally Sumner and Lois Wisdom, and two nephews, Jacob Bradley and Daniel McCulley. Henry is survived by a daughter, Nicole Bradley and Shawn, six brothers: Harley, Byron, Edward, Marty, Rudy and Chuck Bradley; four sisters: Margie Charley, Barbara Brown, Donna McCulley and Cynthia Cole; and two grandson; Issac and Noah Bailey.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasnton Chapel. Burial in the Centerville Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until service time. Contributions are suggested to the Issac and Noah Bailey-Bradley Scholarship Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Stolen Vehicle in Osceola area

St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is investigating the recent theft of a car at a home in the Osceola area.

Sheriff Scott Keeler says Jeremy Bendt reported the theft of his white, 2015-model Chevy Impala from his driveway Friday. 

The Sheriff adds Henry County authorities told his officers later in the day Friday the car had been found at the Otter Creek boat access area and it had been burned.
