Rockville man arrested in Cedar County

On 12/22/18 around 2:04am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cedar County arrested 41 year old Chad E. Hale of Rockville, Missouri.

Mr. Hale was arrested for 1.) Felony Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Driving While Suspended 3.) Failure to stop behind stop line.

He was booked into the Cedar County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.

Fugitive Captured in Harrisonville

Jeremiah T. Denson
Cass Co – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Harrisonville Police Department worked to capture Jeremiah T. Denson, 28, Pleasant Hill, on Friday. Denson was taken into custody without incident near the intersection of Mechanic and Price Street in Harrisonville around 3:00 pm.

Denson is a person of interest in numerous vehicle thefts around the area in the past weeks. Today Denson was charged with stealing 6 vehicles between December 11 and December 21, 2018. He has also been charged with the burglary of a house in the 24000 block of E. 267th St. Harrisonville.

Mr. Denson was the subject of a large multi-jurisdictional manhunt on December 16th west of Harrisonville. Cass County Deputies chased Denson in a stolen vehicle on I-49 north of Harrisonville. Denson fled on foot in the area. Law enforcement agencies from Peculiar, Harrisonville, Lee’s Summit, and Missouri State Highway Patrol searched the area for several hours with two K9 teams and the assistance of Kansas City Police Helicopter. Denson has been charged with Resisting Arrest by Fleeing in that incident.

Denson’s bond on these charges was set at $50,000 10% cash only.

Denson is being held in the Cass County Jail on the additional following warrants:


1.)Cass County – Burglary, Property Damage, Stealing – Bond $10,000 10% cash only


2.)Domestic Assault, Property Damage - Bond $4000 10 % cash only

3.)Jackson County - Failure to Appear - Bond $2500
Pleasant Hill -Obstruction Failure to Appear - Bond $200,Failure to Appear – Trespassing - Bond $100



One vehicle rollover accident west of Rich Hill

The Rich Hill Fire Department along with the Bates County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers are on scene to a 1 vehicle rollover accident on PP Highway around 1 mile south of A Highway west of Rich Hill at this time.

One male subject has been ejected from the vehicle and is  said to have a head injury. 

Please use caution if you must travel in this area as the accident has occurred in the middle of a curve.

Nine New Troopers Assigned to Troop A


Captain Scott A. Shipers, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of nine new troopers to Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 106th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 21, 2018.

Trooper Casey M. McDonald, of Blue Springs, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Clay County. Trooper McDonald is a graduate of Blue Springs High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in Kansas City, Missouri. His field training officer will be Trooper Bryan J. Hamerle.

Trooper Chase Adkison, of Kearney, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 4, which serves the citizens of Clay County. Trooper Adkison is a graduate of Kearney High School and attended the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri. His field training officer will be Trooper Travis L. Goolsby.

Trooper Taylor K. Leftwich, of Palmyra, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 5, which serves the citizens of Ray and Carroll counties. Trooper Leftwich is a graduate of Palmyra High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and business administration from Culver-Stockton College, in Canton, Missouri. His field training officer will be Corporal David J. Kline.

Trooper Zachary D. Davidson, of Harrisonville, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 6, which serves the citizens of Jackson County. Trooper Davidson is a graduate of Harrisonville High School and attended Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas. His field training officer will be Trooper Jake T. Langsdale.

Trooper Robert A. Martinez, of Hartsburg, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of Lafayette County. Trooper Martinez is a graduate of North County R-1 High School, in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Science in graphic design from Sanford-Brown College. Trooper Martinez’s field training officer will be Corporal Trent A. Baxter.

Trooper Austin L. Royster, of Carthage, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Trooper Royster is a graduate of Carthage High School and he attended Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Missouri. Trooper Royster is married to Melanie (Hutchinson) Royster and they have two children. His field training officer will be Trooper Chris R. Blackmon.

Trooper Brandon S. Fahnestock, of Kansas City, Kansas, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Trooper Fahnestock is a graduate of Piper High School, in Kansas City, Kansas. He also attended Highland Community College, in Highland, Kansas, and Columbia Community College, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Trooper Fahnestock is married to Jessica (Mejia) Fahnestock and they have two children. Trooper Fahnestock’s training officer will be Corporal Russell W. Shaul.

Trooper Jonathan R. Atherton, of Fayette, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 15, which serves the citizens of Henry County. Trooper Atherton is a graduate of Main Street High School in Fayette. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Central Methodist University in Fayette. His field training officer will be Sergeant Bill P. Bremer.

Trooper Randall W. Rosenthal, of Conway, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 16, which serves the citizens of Benton County. Trooper Rosenthal is a graduate of Conway High School and he attended Ozarks Technical Community College, in Lebanon, Missouri. His field training officer will be Trooper Justin K. Marlin.

Structure Fire in Rich Hill

The Rich Hill Fire Department along with mutual aide from the Butler Fire Department are in route to a fully engulfed structure fire at 8th and Vine Street in Rich Hill at this time.

It's unknown at this time if the structure was occupied at the time of this fire, Please use caution if you must travel in this area.

TOY DRIVE BOUNTY

This is what cheers the heart at Christmas - a pile of toys destined for kids who might not receive much for Christmas this year. Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson and officers stopped by the Nursery Street Family Care Clinic Wednesday to pick up toy donations collected at the hospital and Family Care Clinics for the Sheriff's annual Toy Drive. Thank you to all who donated to make a better Christmas for local children!

Archie woman arrested in Platte County

On 12/21/18 around 5:33pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Platte County arrested 34 year old Nicole J. Cooper of Archie, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Misdemeanor Independence Police Department Warrant 2.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Nicole J. Cooper was booked into the Platte County Jail in Platte City, Missouri and she is currently listed as bondable.
