Position Summary

The City of Butler is now accepting applications for an immediate opening for Part-Time Dispatcher for Police and Fire Services. 

Duties911 Emergency dispatch includes receiving requests for service from citizens, dispatching emergency calls for police and fire, data entry, detail oriented, and records maintenance. This position requires 12-hour shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

RequirementsProficient keyboard data entry, along with the ability to deal effectively and positively with the public. Police/Emergency Services dispatch experience is highly preferred but will train motivated candidate with excellent oral communication skills to work in fast paced, multi-task environment. 

Must pass a Background check and drug test.

Buses will run their regular routes.

Job Opening In Butler

Midwest Lumber in Butler has 1 position that we are looking to fill. We are looking for a full time loader at our yard in Butler Missouri. 

Associate will be responsible of loading customers with proper product, checking receipts to make sure the proper product is paid for and loading bulk materials with loader and forklift when need to. Associate will be dealing with the outside elements and weather.

Neal McCoy won entertainer of the year in 1997 and 1998, he has 3 platinum albums, and 1 gold album. 

He was also named the 2005 ACM/Home Depot Humanitarian of the year.

A Crawford County, Kansas man is arrested after allegedly stabbing his wife

On February 4, 2019at approximately 1201 hrs, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute in progress at a residence located at 423 N 69 Hwy. The caller identified as Dorma Lemaster reported that her granddaughter identified as Brandy Delmarco was being assaulted by her husband Jeremy Delmarco. The caller also advised that Jeremy Delmarco had cut himself on the arms. 

The first Deputy on scene located Brandy Delmarco and Dorma Lemaster outside of the residence. Both women had sustained serious injuries consistent with being stabbed. The Deputy also made contact with the Jeremy Delmarco and attempted to place him into custody. Jeremy Delmarco resisted and a struggle ensued. During this time, Jeremy Delmarco failed to comply with the Deputies commands and he was tased twice. The Deputy also stunned Mr. Delmarco several times. Mr. Delmarco recovered from the taser deployments and stun drives and continued to struggle with the Deputy. During the struggle, Mr. Demarco’s dog also attacked the Deputy. 

The second Deputy arrived to assist in placing Mr. Delmarco into custody. During that time, the dog continued to be aggressive towards the Deputies and one of Deputies was forced to shoot the dog. 

Once the scene was secure, Crawford County EMS arrived on scene and transported both victims to local hospitals. Brandy Delmarco 37 years of age did not survive her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. She was transported to Kansas City for an autopsy. Dorma Lemaster 84 years of age underwent surgery and is expected to survive. Jeremy Delmarco 32 was transported by EMS to the hospital, treated and released, and currently in the custody of the Crawford County Jail awaiting to be booked in on Murder in the second degree and Attempted Murder in the second degree.

Jeremy Delmarco is presumed innocent unless and until the allegations against him are proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The first Deputy on scene also went to the hospital to be evaluated for possible injuries. He was treated and released.

Arma Police Department, Pittsburg State University Police, Pittsburg Animal Control, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and Crawford County EMS also assisted at the scene.
