Windsor woman injured in Henry County Crash

On 2/15/19 around 9:15am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 52 Highway at OO in rural Henry County near Windsor.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1989 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 53 year old Lisa M. Malotte of Windsor,Missouri lost control on snow covered roadways, causing the vehicle travel off the left side of the roadway and striking a tree.

Lisa M. Malotte sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Gary's Tow.

Butler teen injured in Barton County rollover accident

On 2/15/19 around 11:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Barton County along with Barton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on NE 1st Lane around 3 miles north of Lamar.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 17 year old Delsa M. Burgess of Butler, Missouri slid off the roadway and overturned.

Delsa M. Burgess sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Parks Tow.

Cass County Sheriff’s Office Execute Narcotic Search Warrant


Cass Co – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Unit and Tactical Team along with the Harrisonville Police Department executed a search warrant at 28905 S. Horn Rd in rural Harrisonville, early Wednesday morning February 13.

Investigators took three adults into custody and removed one child from the residence.

Three people have been charged in the case at this time.

Jackie D. Ketchum, 51, Harrisonville has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, bond $50,000 10% cash only.

Jennifer L. Hoffman, 45, Harrisonville has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child First Degree, bond $15,000 10% cash only.



Robert D. Russell, 57, Harrisonville has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child First Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, bond $15,000 10% cash only.

The charges are the result of an investigation by the Harrisonville Police and Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges allege that Russell and Hoffman knowingly committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in the presence of a child less than seventeen years of age and that it was an established or prescribed pattern of activity, in that the defendants and another or others regularly possessed methamphetamine and smoked the drug in the presence of a child.

Investigators recovered numerous firearms and narcotics from the residence. A child located in the residence was removed and released to the care of the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division. All subjects are currently in custody at the Cass County Jail.

Belton Police make arrest in murder case

Demetrius Dontae Singh
Belton Police, with the assistance of the Kansas City Metro Squad, have arrested and charged Demetrius Dontae Singh in connection with the shooting death of
Mason R. Teel. 

On 2-11-19 at about 0200 hrs, Belton Police responded to a report of shots fired and located Teel who was deceased in a driveway in the 200 block of Manor Drive. 

An investigation by the Kansas City Metro Squad was conducted and concluded with the arrest of Singh. He is currently being held in the Cass County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Murder and has a bond of one
million dollars.

Northbound I-49 north of Peculiar is CLOSED due to an accident involving at least 10 vehicles.

From the Bates County Sheriff's Office

Deputies and Detectives paid a visit to a rural Butler home yesterday, with the Humane Society of Missouri’s Animal Cruelty Taskforce. The Sheriffs Office reached out to them in reference to an animal hoarding call. 


The property owner is in custody arrested yesterday on an outstanding warrant, and is cooperating with the investigation.
