
On 2/20/19 around 8:54am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on northbound Missouri 7 Highway at Route P.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2006 Mitsubishi Straight Truck driven by 45 year old Chunli Qin of Montgomery Park, California traveled off the right side of the roadway, driver over corrected and traveled into the northbound lane of traffic and struck the left front of the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 72 year old Donald R. Stark of Harrisonville, Missouri before overturning and coming to rest blocking the lanes of Missouri 7 Highway.
Mr. Stark and a passenger in his vehicle 70 year old Patricia R. Start of Harrisonville, Missouri both were injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
Mr. Qin sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene of the accident by J's Southland Tow.

Garland A. "Dutch" Morris, 77, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday evening, February 15, 2019 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
He was born May 22, 1941 in Dawson, Nebraska, the son of John Crichton Arthur Morris and Theresa Jean (Mattan) Morris.
Dutch was an over the road truck driver for American Freight and retired from Yellow Freight in 1998, and was a member of the teamsters for 29 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and helping people when they needed help. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Catholic faith and the Clinton Eagles Lodge #3667.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Lee Morris, Omaha, NE and Tammy Lu Morris, Parkville, MO; two sons, Wayne Morris and wife Jeanette, Papillion, NE and Mike Morris and wife Julie, St. Joseph, MO; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Kathy Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Auggie Matten and his twin brother, Harlan George Morris; one sister, Mary Ann Obenchain; step-father, Norman Cornwell; and a brother-in-law, Dan Obenchain.
Dutch's wishes were to be cremated. His ashes will be scattered at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.

On 2/5/19 a 1990 Ford F250 Ext Cab truck was taken from the area of 68 Highway and Plum Creek. It is red with a hydraulic bale spear, tool box, running boards, visor over windshield, crack in windshield on passenger side, Barbwire trim down the sides, almost new tires. 4 wheel drive 3/4 ton. The vehicle was last seen headed north on Plum Creek towards 68 Highway.
