Vandalism at Hudson School

On 2/13/2019, Deputies were dispatched to the Hudson School located on east 52 Hwy just west of Appleton City. The Call was in reference to some vandalism to the school's playground equipment. Someone had cut several chains to the swings and stole the seats. The Deputies are working with the school to identify possible suspects.

In the last year volunteers have worked hard to raise funds to purchase playground equipment for the school. These volunteers donated time and their own money to improve the school. The playground equipment purchased was around $40,000.

If you have information in regards to the vandalism to the swing set please contact a deputy at 660-679-3232

It was a pleasure to be able to drop of a nice treat for the Bates County Sheriff’s Department this morning.

We greatly appreciate all they do for us day in and day out. Especially during this horrific winter we are having.

So on behalf of Amsterdam Citizens Bank and myself, thank you for all the hard work and stay warm. ~Jonhenry Jackson Adrian FCCLA President
