Obituary - Lyle E. "Turbo" Tourtillott

Lyle E. "Turbo" Tourtillott, age 73 of Rich Hill, passed away Friday, March 1st, at his home.

Funeral Arrangements are under direction of Heiser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services are scheduled at 2pm Wednesday afternoon, March 6th, at the Rich Hill Christian Church with burial to follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill. 

The family receives friends between five and seven o'clock Tuesday evening, March 5th, at Heuser Funeral Home. 

Memorials to the Kern Senior Center in Rich Hill are suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.

Public Service Announcement Nevada School District

Due to no water in two buildings, the Nevada R-5 School District has had to cancel classes today, Monday, March 4th.

From the Ray-Pec School District

Administrators at the Ray-Pec School District become aware of threatening social media posts earlier today, Sunday, March 3. The threat was directed at the Ray-Pec East Middle School.

Upon learning of the messages, law enforcement was immediately notified.

The Raymore Police Department and Cass County Sheriff's office participated in the investigation in cooperation with the school district. Police report that three juveniles have been taken into custody.

We take any threats seriously, and appreciate the quick response and diligent efforts of our law enforcement community to investigate these online posts.

Thanks to the many students, parents, and community members who alerted school officials to the posts and provided information. The safety of students and staff are our top priority.
