Around 7:00 am Cass County Deputies responded to the area of E. 217th and S. Home Farm Rd. near 291 Hwy, north of Harrisonville after a caller reported a white Ford truck stuck in the ditch and a man was seen running away from area.
Deputies arrived and determined that the vehicle was stolen from Harrisonville. Deputies and a K9 unit searched the area, however they were unable to locate the subject.
The subject is described as a short, young, white male, 120 lbs., wearing blue jeans. Anyone that has information about the subject is asked to call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at 816-380-5200.

Graveside services for Robert James "Tiny" Welton will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Coal Hill Cemetery in ElDorado Springs, Missouri under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri.

Robert James "Tiny" Welton, age 73 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his home in Butler. He was born June 17, 1945 to James E. and Hazel Kreegar Welton in Hugo, Colorado.
Tiny is survived by his wife, Jean Welton of Butler, Missouri; three daughters, Lisa Bang and husband Eric of Auxvasse, Missouri, Crystal Beatty of Vandalia, Missouri and Rachel Ruiz of Butler, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robbie Welton; and a brother, Freddy Welton.

On March 6, 2019 a Deputy responded to County Road 105 in reference to an abandoned vehicle. When the Deputy arrived on the scene he observed a white 1992 Chevrolet S10 parked on the access road to the field. The vehicle had a cracked windshield and driver's side window and the hood was missing.
Dispatch advised the Deputy that the vehicle was stolen out of Nevada, MO. A Detective spoke to Vernon County who advised her that they had someone in custody for the stolen vehicle.
The Deputy contacted a tow service who responded to the location and towed the stolen truck.
On March 6, 2019 a Deputy took a report of cattle that had been stolen from a farm located on east 52 in Butler, MO. The victim advised the Deputy that between 2/18/19 and 3/2/19 10 calves and 1 cow had been stolen. The cow is black Angus with a yellow ear tag and weighs around 1200 pounds. The calves each weighed around 4oo pounds. There was 1 Charolais calf, 2 Red Angus calves and 7 black calves missing. The victim spoke to the farmers and neighbors in the area and no one had seen the cattle.
On March 2, 2019 a Deputy responded to State Route K hwy in Butler, MO to take a stolen skid steer report. The victim stated that he left their 2008 Caterpillar 246C skid steer towards the back of the silage pit around 4 p.m. the previous day. When he returned around 7 a.m. he noticed the skid steer was missing. The serial number on the skid steer is JAY00935. It's value is around $50,000.00.
