Wishbone Day at Adrian Park

Henry County Deputy Sheriff's Deputy Arrested

A Henry County Deputy Sheriff was arrested when he voluntarily surrendered himself to authorities on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Eric Brandon Green was arrested on a Henry County Warrant for Statutory Rape 2nd Degree, following an investigation conducted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at the request of Henry County Sheriff J. Kent Oberkrom.

The investigation was requested after allegations were made against Green stating that he had sexual relations with a person under the age of 16 at a time when Green was age 23.

Because the allegation were against a Henry County Deputy, Sheriff Oberkrom requested an outside agency conduct the investigation to ensure the investigation would be free of any prejudice or appearance of favoritism by his department.

The Honorable Judge Harold Dump assigned a Special Prosecutor to the case to review the reports and if warranted, file criminal charges against Green.

Upon completion of the investigation, the reports were submitted to the Special Prosecutor for review and the filing of criminal charges.

The Charging Documents were presented to Judge Dump who issued the arrest warrant for Eric Green for Statutory Rape 2nd Degree. His bond was set by Judge Dump at $25,000.00 cash or surety.
