Obituary - Alfred Lea Winters
Alfred Lea Winters, age 90, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1929 in Nevada, Missouri the son of Dewey and Ruth Hines Winters. He worked as a millright for General Motors before retiring. He was united in marriage to Mildred Felix on December 3, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2009.
Al was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Belton, Missouri and the Millright Union. God was first in his life followed by his love for his family. He enjoyed making a deal, didn''t matter if it was at an auction or trading horses. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tim and Lee Winters; and two brothers, George and Bob Winters. Al is survived by three daughters: Tammy Rittenhouse and husband Don; Rebecca Sombatchareun and husband John; and Iris Ratliff and husband Roy; a sister, Helen Selig; ten grandchildren: Tricia, Stephanie, Dustin, Brad, Craig, Nathan, Andrew, Kai, Chay and Allee; and seventeen great grandchildren: Faith, Colton, Carlee, Aubree, Harrison, Haley, Gabe, Abigail, Mason, Trent, Brook, Autumn, Brent, Alexis, Gavin, Gage and Gunner.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Friday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggest to the Gospel Tabernacle. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.comm. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Dale Russell of the home; a son, Gary Russell, Garden City, Missouri; a daughter, Lori Russell, Woodbridge, Virginia; two grandchildren, Sarah Thomas and Christopher Chiodo and wife Megan; two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Brynlee; a sister, Marjorie M. Irey and husband George W., Harrisonville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at the First Christian Church, Garden City, Missouri at a later date.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Meals of Garden City.
