Isolated Storms Possible this evening
Isolated to scattered storms remain possible this afternoon.
Some of these storms may be strong, with marginally severe hail and a strong wind gust or two all remaining possible.
It should be stated that most will remain dry, but a rogue storm or two cannot be ruled out for late this afternoon and evening.

FLASHBACK: Missile strikes on the Butler square
In the early 1960's the Cold War had become part of our everyday lives as Bates County was host to some 20 Minuteman nuclear missiles, each packing plenty of earth-toasting armageddon aimed directly at Russia.
This mock missile was paraded around the Butler square in the early days to help us local folks get a little more familiar with what was hidden in the silos around the county.
There's a lot of local history affiliated with the missile program, you can read three very detailed articles here https://batescountynewswire.blogspot.com/p/history-of-bates-county-articles.html
