No news regarding murder investigation at Butler city lake

Yes, that would appear to be a worthless, throwaway headline...but we've had lots of folks asking for any updates regarding the death of Cindy McCoy at the Butler city lake earlier this month.

We have been told by authorities that we should be getting an update soon regarding charges.

As soon we do, we will promptly post on Mid America Live.

Garden City man injured in motorcycle crash

On 5/20/19 around 2:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Route B at Rush Road in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2015 GMC Sierra driven by 59 year old Joseph M. Renfro of Garden City, Missouri slowed for a mail carrier he was following and changed lanes to alert following traffic as he passed the mail carrier he was overtaking quickly by the 2016 Honda Motorcycle driven by 19 year old Ryan C. New of Garden City, Missouri causing the Sierra to travel off the roadway.

The Honda entered a skid and struck the ground ejecting the rider from the motorcycle before sliding to a final rest.

Mr. New sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri for treatment.

The motorcycle was towed from the scene by J's Southland Tow.
